For those who do not know me personally, you may be surprised to hear that "author" and "editor" are only two of my many hats. I'm also an environmental educator, and particularly love creating projects that encourage children to get outside. Currently, I've been working on a local species guide for the Golden B.C. area. Here's a sneak peak at what I've been up to lately.
I've had the pleasure of working with renowned illustrator, Nick Laferriere, as well as Rocky Mountain District teachers and nature experts, on creating a wonderful nature guide for grades K-7. It features common species found in the Golden area. Sections include: birds, mammals, arthropods, amphibians & reptiles, fish, trees, forbs & shrubs, fungi, moss & lichen. Release date: VERY SOON!!
